Underwhelming Stay with Disappointing Food
poor service stale bread
I must say, paying for a room with such a view didn't ensure five-star service. Breakfast was supposedly available until 11 AM. I went at 10:30 AM to find food almost gone. Staff was hard to find and only restocked it after I walked to the kitchen. Dinner at their restaurant cost 200 euros but was some of the worst food I have ever eaten. The bread was stale, and the puff pastry was dry.

I appreciated the complimentary rowboats. A fun way to see the lake. the private beach provided comfortable sun loungers. the breakfast buffet included diverse cheese specialties and fresh fruit, a pleasant surprise.
the bar closed relatively early at 10:00 p.m.

the hotel's private beach ACCESS was a definite highlight. i enjoyed the clear lake WATER and SUN loungers. The hotel staff provided superb service.

the location directly on the lake was acceptable.
i was frustrated by the outdated decor! the room reminded me of it was from decades ago. peeling wallpaper and creaking floors really detracted from any sense of luxury. the bed was also uncomfortable.

efficient staff breakfast variety outdoor bar
the staff were efficient. the breakfast had a great variety of options. i enjoyed the sauna and pool. i appreciated the outdoor bar and lake access.
The air conditioning in my room barely worked. It was very hot. this was difficult .

balanced stay
lake view helpful staff private deck worn carpets peeling paintwork old fashioned bathroom
i found the breakfast very nice and there were a number of lounges overlooking the lake. the staff was helpful. the hotel is situated on the lake, so everything is right there. this includes a private deck and swimming area!
my room was small with creaking floorboards and all the paintwork was peeling off. the carpets were all very worn and actually look rather dirty. the bathroom was also small and old fashioned!
